On July 27, 1996, during the Atlanta Olympics, a pipe bomb went off at the game site, killing one and injuring 111 others. The toll might have been much higher, had not a security guard, Richard Jewell, noticed a suspicious-looking package, alerted the police, and helped them partially evacuate the area. He was immediately proclaimed a hero, and sought out for interviews on television. A few days later, information was leaked that the FBI was investigating him as the bomber, and the media frenzy over his accused villainy grew wilder than before.
Clint Eastwood's movie is a follow-up to AMERICAN SNIPER. It investigates American obsession with simple narratives, heroism, and stereotypes. Paul Walter Hauser, who plays Jewell, is an unlikely-seeming hero. He is fat, speaks with a Georgia Cracker accent, acts slow-witted and impassive, and believes law enforcement is the highest calling. A far more likely hero is the FBI agent played by handsome John Hamm, who leads the investigation that, after he informs reporter Olivia Wilde that Jewell is being looked into as part of the routine (in return for sex) finds himself forced to go after Jewell; despite no positive evidence, he comes to believe in Jewell's guilt rather than admitting he had made a mistake. Sam Rockwell plays the lawyer who works hard and frustratedly to get Jewell to keep his mouth shut; Kathy Bates plays Jewell's mother.
Eastwood directs this movie in a manner that keeps the audience looking frantically to see what is going on. The cinematically interesting events are always occurring at the edge of the screen or beyond the Venetian blinds. We grow angry with the frenzied attacks, because we are never in any doubt that Jewell was, in his own reckoning, in the right place at the right time to do his job. We demand that the world be saved by the handsome young man who gets to bed the beautiful woman and is never wrong. Until we learn to accept the reality, we stand in the gravest of danger.

The woman was described by her own brother as crazy, out-of-control, and promiscuous. She died of a drug overdose. The movie is more than generous to her.
I wish Mr. Eastwood would do one more man with no name film. This time he is being hunted by a bounty hunter, maybe Hugh Jackman.

God damn feminist libtart crucified an innocent man, who was a hero and a saint. Paul Walter Hauser was stunning in all phases of the entire film. Mr. Hauser absolutely took his part to another level. The film portrayed the absolute darkness of what the media can do to a story. Hell I even felt guilty and all I did was watch it! It's a shame people aren't seeing this movie because it was phenomenal in almost every way. The media is the enemy. This man is a hero. 1. Jets: Nick Bosa, DE, OSU (Jr. /64”/270) The Jets have some young pieces on defense, but getting a top edge-rusher to pair with Leonard Williams and Darron Lee in the front-seven could be a huge addition. Bosa is technically refined, athletic, and strong and could be better than his big brother. 2. Dolphins: Ed Oliver, DT, Houston (Jr. /62”/290) The Dolphins have a lot of holes on their roster, so they should take the best player available. Oliver is a disruptive DT with elite athleticism. He could be the next Aaron Donald. 3. Bengals: Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon (Jr. /66”/230) Herbert is raw, but he shows flashes of the elite arm talent, poise, and athleticism to be a star. He can sit behind Andy Dalton for a year, and then take over for a young offense with pieces like Joe Mixon and John Ross. 4. Bills: Jonah Williams, OT, Alabama (Jr. yeah /65”/305) The Bills want to build around Josh Allen, so they get him some more protection. Williams is athletic with top-notch technique. Hell move Dion Dawkins back to RT and give the Bills bookends on the offensive line for years to come. 5. Bears: David Edwards, OT, Wisconsin (Jr. /67”/320) Edwards is raw, after coming to Wisconsin as a quarterback, but he has loads of athleticism and upside. Hell give the Bears a very strong offensive line with himself at left tackle, Cody Whitehair and Kyle Long at guard, and James Daniels at center. 6. Buccaneers: Greedy Williams, CB, LSU (rSo. /62”/190) The Buccaneers secondary is bad. Justin Evans has shown promise at free safety, Vernon Hargreaves III is a solid slot corner, but they need help on the outside. Williams has the size, speed, agility, and ball skills (6 Interceptions in 2017) to be an elite cornerback. 7. Cardinals: NKeal Harry, WR, Arizona State (Jr. /64”/215) With Larry Fitzgerald likely retiring after 2018, the Cardinals have 2017 third-rounder Chad Williams as the speedy Z receiver, 2018 second-rounder Christian Kirk in the slot, the Cardinals need a true, 1, X receiver. Harry is the type of big receiver with ball skills that would give young quarterback Josh Rosen some weapons do years to come. 8. Browns: Rashan Gary, DT, Michigan (Sr. /65”/285) Gary has the athleticism of an edge-rusher, and he could give the Browns a penetrating defensive tackle who can pair with Myles Garrett and Emmanuel Ogbah on the defensive line to make an athletic, explosive group of pass-rushers. 9. Redskins: Jarrett Stidham, QB, Auburn (rJr. /63”/215) The Redskins need a young quarterback to develop behind Alex Smith, and Stidham has the tools to be a franchise quarterback. He has ample arm strength, mobility, and accuracy. He may take some time adjusting to an NFL offense, but he could develop into a star behind Alex Smith. 10. Colts: Raekwon Davis, DT, Alabama (rSo. /67”/315) Davis is a freak athlete for his size, and he was a productive pass-rusher with 8. 5 sacks last year. He would step in and give the Colts a promising young building block on defense with Malik Hooker and Quicy Wilson. 11. Titans: Dalton Risner, OG/C, Kansas State (Sr. /64”/305) Risner plays left tackle for the Wildcats, but hes come into the Titans and upgrade the interior of their offensive line. With the top tackle duo in the NFL with Taylor Lewan and Jack Conklin, the Titans need to upgrade the interior of their offensive line badly. 12. Lions: Jeffery Simmons, DT, Mississippi State (Jr. /64”/300) AShawn Robinson has been a bust, and the Lions need a standout defensive tackle. Simmons has an absolutely shredded frame at 300 pounds, hes athletic, powerful, and disruptive. Hed give the Lions another potential Pro Bowler on the defensive line with Ziggy Ansah. 13. Ravens: Devin White, LB, LSU (Jr. /61”/240) The Ravens need to find a linebacker to pair with CJ Moseley. They have young pieces on defense in Marlon Humphrey, Michael Pierce, Matt Judon, Tyus Bowser, Chris Wormley, amd Willie Henry, but they need a playmaker at linebacker, and Whites speed, explosiveness, and ability to be a tackling machine could give the Ravens one of the best young defenses in the NFL. 14. Raiders: Bryce Love, RB, Stanford (Sr. /59”/205) The Raiders are going to build a dominant run game under John Gruden. Marshawn Lynch will be 32 next offseason. Chris Warren III can be the power, short-yardage back, Jalen Richard can be the receiving, third-down back, but they need a featured runner. Love has legit 4. 3 speed, he runs with power, and he can make guys miss. This Raiders running game could be scary with Love carrying the ball and the other two rotational runners. 15. Seahawks: Clelin Ferrell, DE, Clemson (rJr. /65”/265) The Seahawks need another pass-rusher opposite Frank Clark, and Ferrell would step into a starting role immediately. Ferrell has the size, quickness, and advances technique/hand-usage with the production to warrant a first-round pick and become a key piece in the rebuild of the Seahawks defense. 16. Broncos: Trey Adams, OT, Washington (rSr. /68”/330) The Broncos have almost finished rebuilding their offensive line, with Garrett Bolles at LT, Ron Leary at LG, Matt Paradis at C, and Connor McGovern at RG, but they need a RT. Adams is a big, strong, powerful tackle who would give the Broncos two promising tackles with Bolles and himself. 17. Panthers: Joe Jackson, DE, Miami (Jr. /65”/265) The Panthers best pass-rusher is a 37-year-old Julius Peppers. Jackson has the burst, bend, and power to step in and start. He also has 21 tackles for loss and 14 sacks over his first 2 years. 18. Giants: Zach Allen, DE, Boston College (Sr. /64”/285) The Giants recently switched to a 3-4 defense, but they dont have a true 3-4 end. Allen can be that. He had 100 tackles in 2017 and had 10 sacks and 25. 5 tackles for loss over the last 2 years. He would be a major upgrade from day one. 19. Chiefs: Mitch Hyatt, OT/OG, Clemson (Sr. /65”/305) Hyatt has started and played left tackle at a high level since his freshman year. Hes a fluid pass-blocker with a mean streak in the run game. Cam Erving needs to upgraded at left guard, and Hyatt could make the transition and help keep Mahomes upright and open up holes in the run game for Kareem Hunt. 20. Cowboys: Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson (Jr. /65”/340) The Cowboys continue building in the trenches and get a big, run-stopping nose tackle who can keep young linebackers Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch clean, while also freeing up DeMarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory for one-on-ones. Lawrence would give this up-and-coming defense an anchor in the middle. He also offers some pass-rush ability. 21. 49ers: Bryan Edwards, WR, South Carolina (Jr. /63”/220) Dante Pettis, Trent Taylor, and Richie James are all quality young complimentary receivers, but Jimmy G needs a true #1 option with Pierre Garçon on the wrong side of 30. Not even turning 21 until November of his rookie year, Edwards is just scratching the surface of his potential, and his ball-skills, route-running, and athleticism will make him an Day One starter at X receiver. 22. Chargers: Drew Lock, QB, Missouri (Sr. /64”/225) The Chargers need to find a young quarterback to develop behind Philip Rivers, and Lock has as much upside as any passer in the class. With a huge arm, athleticism, and a knack for making big plays, Lock will need time adjusting from Missouris spread/Air Raid offense, but he could be a legit franchise quarterback. 23. Jaguars: Greg Little, OT, Ole Miss (Jr. /66”/330) The Jaguars need to upgrade and replace Jeremy Parnell at RT, so Little will come in and give them a big, powerful RT who can open up holes for Leonard Fournette and keep Bortles upright. Little and Cam Robinson would give the Jags two bookends on a talented offensive line. 24. Texans: Yodny Cajuste, OT, West Virginia (rSr. /65”/320) The Texans need to protect Deshaun Watson at all costs, so getting a talented, athletic, and powerful left tackle like Cajuste, and movies Julien Davenport to right tackle would upgrade two positions on the Texans OL. 25. Packers: AJ Brown, WR, Ole Miss (Jr. /61”/225) Devante Adams is a legit #1 receiver, but Randall Cobb is a free agent, and they still need to replace Jordy Nelson. Brown would step into the slot and be an upgrade over Cobb with his ability to get open, make tough catches over the middle, work up the seam, and make plays after the catch. 26. Falcons: Noah Fant, TE, Iowa (Jr. /65”/245 Austin Hooper has been a disappointment, so the Falcons get a big-play TE with elite athleticism and speed. Fant would make the Falcons offense even more dangerous as a weapon over the middle. 27. Packers (via NO) Emmanuel Hall, WR, Missouri (Sr. /63”/205) The Packers double-dip at WR to give Aaron Rodgers more weapons. Hall has blazing speed and is the best deep threat in college football, averaging almost 25 yards per catch (24. 8) and scoring 8 TDs last year. He would give Rodgers a weapon to stretch the field and open up things for Adams, Brown, and the run game. By taking 2 WRs, the Packers give themselves one of the best receiving corps in the NFL. 28. Rams: Brian Burns, DE/OLB, Florida State (Jr. /65”/230) The Rams need an edge-rusher to compliment their powerhouse defensive line of Aaron Donald, Ndamukong Suh, and Michael Brockers. Burns needs to bulk up, but hes got rare speed and explosiveness off the edge and could make this Rams defense even scarier. 29. Steelers: Rodney Anderson, RB, Oklahoma (rJr. /61”/220) 2018 is LeVeon Bells last year in Pittsburgh, and they will need to replace him. Anderson isnt as good as Bell, but hes a talented runner with vision, agility, speed, and power and a pretty good receiver. He would likely step in and split carries with James Conner, but hes talented enough to take over as the starter early in his career. 30. Eagles: Devin Bush, LB, Michigan (Jr. /511”/235) The Eagles have Jordan Hicks, but they need a LB to pair with him. Bush is undersized, but hes fast, tough, and a tackling machine. He will give the Eagles defense another talented defender for years. 31. Vikings: Hjalte Froholdt, OG, Arkansas (Sr. /64”/315) The Vikings are building their offensive line, and they have a solid young center in Pat Elflein, and a developmental tackle in Brian O'Neill. The Denmark native Froholdt is a big, physical mauling blocker who would step in and upgrade either guard position for the Vikings and help continue rebuilding this offensive line that can keep Kirk Cousins upright and open up holes for Dalvin Cook. 32. Patriots: Tyree Jackson, QB, Buffalo (Jr. /67”/245) Josh McDaniels gets a young quarterback to mold with limitless upside after Brady retires. Jackson is as athletic and mobile as Cam Newton, and like Cam, he has a rocket launcher strapped to his right shoulder. He is really raw in his decision-making and inconsistent with his accuracy, but he has legit All Pro upside. ROUND 2 33. Colts (via NYJ) David Montgomery, RB, Iowa State (Jr. /510”/225) Montgomery doesnt have the speed and explosiveness you look for, but hes a violent, physical runner who is shifty enough to make guys miss. He could see the bulk of the carries, while the speedy Nyheim Hines is used as a change-of-pace runner. 34. Dolphins: Brian Lewerke, QB, Michigan State (rJr. /63”/215) Lewerke is a poised, accurate passer who plays in a pro-style offense. He needs to get bigger and stronger, and he doesnt have a big arm, but its strong enough. He will step in and immediately push Ryan Tannehill for the starting job. 35. Bengals: Alaric Jackson, OT, Iowa (rSo. /67”/320) The Bengals upgraded their offensive line with the trade for Cordy Glenn at left tackle, and drafting center Billy Price. But RT is a huge concern, where Bobby Hart is projected to start. Jackson is young and athletic, but he would come in and immediately take over as the starter and help protect new quarterback Justin Herbert and open up holes for Joe Mixon. 36. Bills: DK Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss (rSo. /64”/225) Zay Jones could be a quality #2 receiver, but Kelvin Benjamin is just not very good. Metcalf has the size, speed, ballskills and talent to be an elite #1 receiver, but hes really raw as a route-runner and will take some time to reach his potential. 37. Patriots (via CHI) Ahmmon Richards, WR, Miami (Jr. /61”/190) The Patriots need some talent at WR, and Richards is the type of receiver the Pats like, as he can get open, catch the ball reliably, and even stretch the field a little bit. He would step into a starting role on the outside from day one. 38. Buccaneers: Taylor Rapp, SS, Washington (Jr. /60”/210) The Bucs continue revamping their secondary after taking the top CB in the draft, they get the top S. Rapp is well-rounded in man-coverage, zone-coverage, and run defense. Rapp and Justin Evans is a solid young duo at safety with Greedy Williams at CB and VHIII in the slot. 39. Cardinals: Albert Okwuegbunam, TE, Missouri (rSo. /65”/260) Ricky Seals-Jones is best as a #2 TE, so the Cardinals get another young weapon for Josh Rosen. Okwuegbunam is big, athletic, with soft hands and toughness as a blocker. Josh Rosen will suddenly have loads of weapons with David Johnson at RB, all the young receivers listed earlier, and now Okwuegbunam at TE. 40. Browns: Michael Jackson, CB, Miami (Sr. /61”/205) The Browns get a young CB to pair with Denzel Ward. Jackson has great size, 4. 4 speed, and natural coverage skills. He and Denzel Ward could pair up as a shutdown CB duo for years to come. 41. Redskins: Mack Wilson, LB, Alabama (Jr. /62”/240) The Redskins get another Alabama player for their front-seven. Zach Brown and Mason Foster are both older players, and the Redskins could use some youth and speed at the position. Wilson would push for a starting job immediately. 42. Colts: DeAndre Baker, CB, Georgia (Jr. /511”/185) Quincy Wilson looks like he can be a quality starting CB, but the Colts need another CB opposite him. Baker is smaller, but hes quick and fast with natural coverage skills. 43. Titans: Christian Wilkins, DT/DE, Clemson (Sr. /64”/310) The Titans need another 3-4 end to play across from Jurrell Casey. Wilkins is big, athletic, and disruptive. He would step on and immediately upgrade this young defense that has a lot of talent in safety Kevin Byard, CB Adoree Jackson, pass-rusher Harold Landry, and LB Rahsaan Evans. 44. Lions: Montez Sweat, DE, Mississippi State (Sr. /66”/245) Sweat is a fast, athletic, and bendy edge-rusher who lead the SEC in sacks last year. He has the potential to be a double-digit sacker in the NFL, but he needs to put on 5-10 pounds of muscle mass. 45. Ravens: Jaylen Smith, WR, Louisville (Sr. /64”/220) Michael Crabtree is on the wrong side of 30 and is going to be the Ravens #1 receiver in 2018. The Ravens need a young receiver for Lamar Jackson to develop with, so why not get his favorite receiver at Louisville. Smith has great size, the speed to stretch the field, and sticky hands. 46. Raiders: Kelvin Harmon, WR, NC State (Jr. /63”/215) Jordy Nelson is well past his prime and Martavis Bryant is struggling with the playbook, so the Raiders need a WR across from Amari Cooper. Harmon is a big, physical receiver with plus athleticism and good hands. 47. Texans (via SEA) Damon Arnette, CB, Ohio State (Jr. /60”/195) Kevin Johnson never developed into a true lockdown CB, and Jonathan Joseph will be 35 in 2019. The Texans get an athletic, productive CB with elite upside to eventually become a true #1 lockdown CB. 48. Broncos: Olive Spagnolo, NT, Wisconsin (Sr. /62”/350) The Broncos have a mix of veterans (pass-rusher Vin Miller, LB Brandon Marshall, DE Derek Wolfe) and young talent (pass-rusher Bradley Chubb, DE Adam Gotsis, LB Josey Jewell) in their front-seven, but they have a big hole at NT. Spagnolo is a stout, powerful run-stuffer who also is athletic enough to push the pocket. 49. Panthers: Prince Tega Wanogho, OT, Auburn (rSr. /67”/310) Matt Kalil is average at best at left tackle, and he has an out in his contract after 2019, that would save the Panthers 20. 5 million. PTW is a freaky athlete at his size, reportedly running a 4. 7 forty. Hes really raw, but his movement skills and athleticism are special. He could sit for a year and develop, then take over and upgrade Cams blindside protection in 2020. 50. Giants: Khalil Hodge, LB, Buffalo (Sr. /61”/235) The Giants are weak at ILB, where Alec Ogletree is average and BJ Goodson cant stay healthy. Hodge comes in as a proven tackling machine with 277 tackles over the last 2 years. Hes also a good zone-coverage LB. 51. Chiefs: Ben Banogu, DE/LB, TCU (rSr. /64”/250) Dee Ford has been inconsistent and a disappointment rushing he passer opposite Justin Houston. So the Chiefs go after his replacement, the speedy, explosive edge-rusher from TCU. 52. Cowboys: Hakeem Butler, WR, Iowa State (rJr. /66”/225) The Cowboys WR corps isnt very good, and they dont have much young talent outside of 2018 third-rounded Michael Gallup. Butler is a big, athletic receiver who could eventually become Daks #1 target. 53. 49ers: Trayvon Mullen, CB, Clemson (Jr. /62”/190 Richard Sherman is a stopgap answer at CB across from Ahkello Witherspoon, so the 49ers get a raw athlete with size, length, and speed to develop behind Sherman for a year or two, and then take over the starting job opposite Witherspoon. 54. Chargers: LaVert Hill, CB, Michigan (Jr. /511”/180) At this point, Jason Verrett cant be counted on to stay healthy, so the Chargers need a CB to pair with Casey Hayward. Hill is smaller, but hes fast, agile, and plays big. He has all the natural cover skills to be a top-shelf CB in the NFL. 55. Jaguars: Andrew Wingard, SS, Wyoming (Sr. /60”/215) Barry Church may be a cap casualty after 2018, so the Jags need to replace him at strong safety. Wingard is an enforcer in the run game, who is a tackling machine (100+ tackles 3 years in a row, 367 tackles in that span. He also gets the job done in zone-coverage and can cover tight ends, running backs, and some slot receivers. 56. Texans: Chris Lindstrom, OG, Boston College (Sr. /63”/305) Lindstrom has played both guard and both tackle positions in college, and been a stud. Playing mostly tackle in his career, hell transition to full-time guard in the NFL, and the Texans pick him to continue building the protection for Deshaun Watson. 57. Packers: Tevon Coney, LB, Notre Dame (Sr. /61”/240) After Jake Ryans injury, the Packers need a LB to pair with Blake Martinez at ILB. Coney is a fast, athletic, and productive LB with sideline-to-sieine range and coverage skills. 58. Falcons: Levonta Taylor, CB, Florida State * Jr. /510”/185) The Falcons need a nickel CB who can cover slot receivers, and Taylor would be the perfect fit. Hes got the quickness/agility, speed, and instincts to be one of the best slot CBs in the NFL. 59. Saints: Easton Stick, QB, North Dakota State (Sr. /62”/225) Sean Payton should look to start developing a QB behind Drew Brees. Stick is a good athlete with a strong arm who makes good decisions and is accurate. The NFL could look at Stick in NO as similar to the Jimmy G in NE. 60. Chiefs (via LAR) Kendall Sheffield, CB, Ohio State (Jr. /60”/190) The Chiefs got this pick for trading away their best CB, Marcus Peters. They need to find him a replacement, and Sheffield brings 4. 3 speed, size, and 5-Star pedigree to the table. 61. Steelers: Ulysees Gilbert III, LB, Akron (Sr. /61”/230) Ryan Shazier might not ever play again, so the Steelers need to find his replacement. Gilberts undersized, but hes fast and super productive both vs. the run, and vs. the pass, with 261 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 8 sacks, 3 interceptions, 7 passes defensed, and 3 forced fumbles over the last 2 years. 62. Eagles: Damien Harris, RB, Alabama (Sr. /510”/215) Jay Ajayis knees may not have much left, so the Eagles find his replacement. Harris might be the best RB in the draft, so hes a steal this late. Harris has the speed, power, and agility to be a featured back. He also comes with low wear-and-tear on his legs after playing in a rotation at Alabama. 63. Vikings: Youhanna Ghaifan, DT, Wyoming (rJr. /64”/290) The Vikings have two top edge-rushers in Danielle Hunter and Everson Griffen, but they need some interior pass-rush. Ghaifan is an loose, quick athlete who, over the last 2 years, had 10 sacks (7 in 2017) and 20 tackles for loss (15. 5 in 2017. 64. Patriots: Deionte Thompson, FS, Alabama (rJr. /62”/200) Thompson is the best pure single-high safety in the draft. He has the playmaking range to patrol the deep-half, and he is good in run-defense.
